Hi there! My name is Kelley and I am a Grade 10 student at HTS. My interests varied from year to year from ethics, environmental science, STEM, reading and Harry Potter. I love to get involved in various opportunities to find my passion and try different interests, thus the reason I wanted to join TedEd and become a speaker. My Ted talk, the “21st Century Trolley Problem” combines all of my interests, unfortunately not including Harry Potter. In my talk I use one of the most well known ethical dilemmas to put into perspective why we should focus on solving pre-existing problems that affect the populous rather than further developing the world for an economic benefit.
